Wanderlust is for the rich
I can’t miss work I do to dig that ditch
Poverty has me caged in
When did meekness become a sin

All the hippies are dying from their age
That’s how they wanted it. Not in a violent way.
Better laid down in a bed of sheets
Then laid low in a white hot heat
The Rich make the war
But it’s fought by the poor
It’s the only way they’ll ever see the world

Wanderlust is for the rich

It’s all peace and love until the bill come in
Then it’s fussing and fighting all over again
In the land of good and plenty
It’ sure is funny how only a few have all the money
But they’ll quote their savor
Though they can hear the words
If they only knew they’d turn their god away.

Hot air always rises.
You can capture it in a well sown balloon.
You’ll float on to far and distant lands
All you need is a purse splitting at the seams
For the bolts of cloth, the vats of resin,
The bobbin and the thread.
The yards rope, the cords of wicker,
The bags filled with loose sand.
The tanks of fuel, the machinery, the harden steel and flint
Most of all you need the time to leave.

Still we wait for our long haired savior
The shape will never form in a fool nor an angle
One pair of hands won’t tare a mountain down
But a throng of open palms can leveled the damn thing the ground
And our chorus of voiceless
Is louder than the coarsest
It’s the only our cry will every be heard
